Because your baby will come when he or she is ready to come out. The average length for a first time pregnancy is 41 weeks, 1 day. NOT 40 weeks.
Hopefully your baby will be born soon. Just remember babies are born on their birthdays, not their due dates.

Predicting your due date is not an exact science keep that in mind. We few days can seem like an eternity when you're waiting to hold your baby in your arms. And the next think you know you'll be at your wits end because your baby won't go to sleep and yearning to go back to the days when you could sleep when you wanted. I have done it with both of my kids and now I'm pregnant with my third and I still haven't learned lol I can't wait until I can hold my baby in my arms. Try to relax and just enjoy the time you've got. My daughter was due Oct 9, born Oct 5 and the doctor told me after she was born that she should have been delivered two weeks earlier than that.

My due date was July 4 and I delivered on July 26! It was the summer of 1978 and like 100 degrees everyday. My doctor said I was the only "documented" case of officially 3 weeks late he had experienced! You've waited this long so hold on a little (hopefully!!) longer. Good luck and I hope you have a healthy and happy baby.

WHOA! Stress is not good for you or your baby at this stage, so you just have to chill. Kids are overdue all the time and that doesn't mean anything is wrong.... Hang in there, and think about all the positive and loving things to come!

Wow, i assume she has numerous catching as much as do to capture Obama and Biden. Obama can't even talk on any situation, each time, everywhere. Even his rhetoric of desire and alter has been replaced with lies and bashing of McCain and Palin. he's on a convention injury and his panic is extremely obtrusive interior the direction he has chosen. inspite of the day previous's devasting information, he chosen to blame each and every thing on the Republicans instead of offering a answer. McCain on the different hand gave us some perception as to what he might do and what replace into occurring.

I hope you dont think I am being nasty when I tell you this, but my friends doctor told her to stimulate her breasts, or have your mate and it will start her to having contractions. You can also look it up on the internet so that you will know that I am telling the truth. Also sex is a way to get labor and contractions started and also drinking wine. These are some suggestions if you want to get your bundle of joy on their way......

That is just a due date you really never know when it is going to come. I was 2 weeks overdue with my first child. When the baby is ready to come it will come

That's why it's called an *estimated* due date. :-)
I know it can be hard to wait, but every baby has its own schedule. A normal pregnancy is anywhere from 37 to 43 weeks long. Hang in there, mama, you're almost there!

I was always told, a baby usually comes two weeks early or two weeks later than your due date.

Because your baby cannot read the calendar! (he or she is not ready yet) Your doc won't let it go more than two more weeks now. Hang in there. (No one has ever been pregnant FOREVER--it just feels that way)
