Supposedly every nonprofit in your state is supposed to register at the state level... perhaps a phone call to your local state representative can get you the proper contact information.

Every non-profit, by definition, is organized under IRS code 501(c)(3) which establishes its non-profit status. Therefore, to get EVERY non-profit in Cali, you would have to get a list of all Cali-based 501(c)(3) organizations. I do not know if the IRS shares this information but it never hurts to ask......

That said, check the reference desk of your local library. There are a variety of directories which would provide a fairly comprehensive list of organizations of this type.
