I have had a non-productive caugh for the last week and a half. I am usually okay during the day and it pregressivly gets worse toward the end of the day and at bedtime. I have taken tea with honey and all natrual calms to help me go to sleep which works but the caugh persists. I do not want to see a western medicine Doctor because there first instinct is to give you anti-biotics which I think are overused and they also give me other problems to fix. Any suggestions on certain herbs or natrual caugh supperesents or anything that I can do to help me with this caugh.

Try these remedies. It worked for me.
A) 3 table spoonful of coriander seeds
3 black peppers
6 pods of garlic
2 cups of water
Put the coriander in a pan and roast it for 2 minutes. Add water
black pepper and garlic. Boil it until the water turns dark brown, strain the liquid and drink it before going to bed. Repeat it for a day 2.

B) turmeric (yellow power) and milk. warm it and drink.

C) If you can get root turmeric (look like ginger root) crush it and boil it and drink.

Hot tea with honey will help if it is your throat that is making you cough try gargling with warm salt water. Not all doctors will put you on anti-biotics especially if it is just a cough because that is generally an air born virus which can not be treated with antibiotics.

If it gets progressively worse during the day, I assume you may be taking that you are taking something that you are allergic to-or are getting exposed to something that you are allergic to-the best thing to do is to take honey-like three tablespoons a day (that is made within 30 miles from where you live!!!!) This is the BEST thing you can take for allergies, anywhere. Also, you may try black or stinging nettle.

Brandy and honey will do the trick! LOL

You might be dehydrated...drink lots of water and it might help you to cough up the junk that's making you feel tight.

Hope this helps!
