I saw the original stage show Jesus Christ Superstar in 1970 (if I remember correctly) I still have the original album (vinyl). At the time it rocked and today, it still rocks. Man, I miss those days!

I like the professional version of Jesus Christ Superstar. I have the CD, but I am not fond of high school productions of it.

i admire the song and based on your question went onto You Tube and considered a pair of songs. One song stood out whilst considered and analyzing the comments, each and every little thing's okay" published via RICbnh. Very touching. one in all my brothers offered the album lower back in 'seventy 3. i might pay attention to the songs repeatedly lower back. i don't have a replica at present, yet every time i'm getting of project, i like to take heed to the astonishing song. The movie version is nicely, 1973. The hippy era became nonetheless going stable and classic rock became peaking. The movie is a suited mix of the two - albeit unusual. I easily have not considered it for a pair of years now, i might desire to. I only observed the movie version of "Godspell" only earlier Easter. Sydney Bristow's Dad is Jesus - lol (Victor Garber in "Alias". the two musicals have been released in 1973 and it is stunning how distinctive they're. i've got enjoyed seeing "Godspell" on the point yet i don't get exhilaration from it as much as "Jesus Christ movie star". in spite of the undeniable fact that, the two exhibits worry me in the actuality that neither one instruct Jesus' constructive victory over dying. they don't make connection along with his Resurrection. Am I maximum appropriate in saying this? They the two end with Jesus Crucifixion. i understand that some human beings do in comparison to "Jesus Christ movie star" because of call and contact song which Judas sings. in spite of the undeniable fact that, it is been my understanding that considering in the Gospels, Judas concept that Jesus could be this ingenious character who might violently oppose the Romans, his song of disillusionment fits completely. Jesus became ingenious yet not in the way that Judas concept he could be.

Great! I saw the film when it was released in the seventies and then the live opera in the ninties. Ted Neely (spelling?) played Jesus in the movie and the opera.
