Something that you keep just for the sake of keeping and remembering. For instance, my daughter received a crystal angel from her grandma that is a keepsake. An heirloom piece of jewlry or even furniture could be a keepsake.

A keepsake would be something that means something to you such as something your grandma of grandpa gave your before they passed away or something like a ticket from a special event that kind of stuff!!

it depends on what "it" is. is a dance? keep a program. is "it: a wedding? keep the invite. whatever 'it" is keep something from it and write a note on it if you don't think you can remember "it"
