IT's one of the four houses (dormatories) that the students are placed into by the sorting hat on their first day at hogwarts. the hat sorts you into a dorm by your personlity traits and what is truly in your heart!! A Gryffindore (I think that's how u actually spell it LOL) Is know to be brave, friendly kind of a straight arrow -always does the right thing- type. Gryffindore's are the most chivalrous of souls!!!
Lets take it a step futher- Hufflepuffs are sweet, friendly, trendy and emotional; Raveclaws are know for their amazing intellect and problem solving skills; and Slytherins are sneaky, snoby, loyal, and very traditional
I took a quiz online once that put me in gryffindore but Hufflepuff and ravenclaw were not very far behind. I got nothing in slytherin though LOL
Actually, I've never actually read the books, just seen the movies. And the movies are fabulous, and all of the actors are amazing!! Plus Daniel Radcliffe {aka Harry potter} is so hot, and he plays that part sooo perfectly he is a terrific actor. Especially considering while Daniel and Harry have some similarities Daniel and Harry are almost opposites [that's proof that he is a brilliant actor]!!!

Griffindor is an eagle-lion and it's significance in Harry Potter is that one of the four creaters of the school's last name was Griffindor. So in the Harry Potter movies each house is named after a creator. The houses compete in Quiditch(spelling?); a broom game, and in academic excellence to receive a cup at the end of the year for having the most points.

It's Gryffindor. Basically, it's the name of the "house" at the school Harry Potter attends (Hogwarts). When students arrive to Hogwarts, they are sorted into different houses according to their personalities and qualities.
Gryffindor: courageous, chivalrous, bold, brave.
Hufflepuff: hard work, patience... kind of wimpy.
Ravenclaw: intellgent, knowledgeable, witty, clever.
Slytherin: cunning, sly, manipulative... usually the villainous/mean kids.
Watch the movies or read the books! You're missing out :)
