Is it even worth getting a tattoo removed? Will there be a scar after removal?

Yes, depending on the colour of the ink used and the size of the tattoo. Light colours such as yellow, red, blue and green remove better than blacks and dark blues and dark greens. There is usually a scar left as well, in the rough shape of the tattoo. There in no really good way to remove a tattoo without leaving some kind of evidence behind.

The scaring has already been mentioned.

If the scar is small and easily concealed (or just doesn't really bother you that much), I'd advise against getting it removed. It is quite a bit more painful than getting it in the first place and is expensive to boot. Since it is a cosmetic procedure, medical insurance won't pay for it.

I really can't tell you but if you look at Angelina Jolie, she had one removed on her upper arm bout Billy Bob Thornton and you can still see the outline of it. I really don't think you can totally remove it.
