William is a great name (sorry had to put this in for personal reasons) :) The second name is well.......let's just remind your wife of the consequences that this beautiful little girl will face growing up with a name like Wareyoat. Kids will tease her and make fun of her. Try suggesting something like " Whitney "
Good Luck

Please tell me she was kidding. Remind her that the child has to grow up with that name and a child's name should mean something, not open up the flood gates of constant teasing and harassment by other children. Children can be cruel. I know she loves that baby more than to put her through that. Try to bring these points up to her in a casual conversation, that will not provoke an argument. Good Luck!

i have not any toddlers, yet I genuinely opt for a minimum of three toddlers contained in the destiny :) If i became pregnant, i'd only tell my husband what names i'd opt for to call our daughter or son, because on the top of day, it really is the mum's and father's judgements and no man or woman elses. i'd keep a secret, so after the toddler is boring each man or woman receives an wonderful wonder (: i do not opt for to sound recommend, yet I kinda imagine your sister-in-regulation became rude about no longer loving her destiny niece. I recommend, it really is her niece! you could't paint each Evelyn's with an same brush. i imagine Evelyn is a stunning call, it really is captivating and it a at the same time as properly. you could also shorten it to Eve or Evie, it truly is sweet. truly one of my close acquaintances chum's is termed Evelyna, and that i imagine it truly is lovable. i imagine it really is cool that you'll call your daughter Evelyn. do not mission about what your sister-in-regulation thinks, because at the same time as your toddler comes, she'll replace her recommendations. good success and congratulations :) xoxo

tell her to "wear" that name for two months(or the entire pregnancy). and you are dead serious. that everywhere she goes and whoever she meets she will be called wareyoat. and if she can bear teh looks and teh comments then she can condemn her child to that ridiculous name. shame on your btw for marrying a fool like that. geesh! you might also want to get a group of kids, cousins, whoever is under age 15 and ask them INFRONT of her what they think of that name. let her see the ugly remarks and looks they'll give. let her see what her child will be up against. (by the way i'm suspecting this question is a joke..hmmm)

oh wow..for real? Well, the best thing I can tell you is that, let her know your daughter will one day go to school and kids are cruel. Very cruel. Kids will make fun of names and make kids life pure hell. Does she want your kid to go through that? Think about it.
Think about your daughter having to deal with that name for the rest of her life..or at least until she is old enough to change it..and she will do that!

I agree that this is an awful name. Your daughter's peers will likely poke fun at her. It is no fun to be targeted or bullied at school. Talk to your wife openly and honestly about it. That's the only way she's gonna know how you feel about it.

let her know that although she thinks the name is cute that it wouldn't be "cute" for your daughter to be named that. Make other suggestions like using her grandmother's name, aunt etc... and hopefully she'll come around. Best of luck to ya'll.

a name follows the child throughout life, and can affect the child when they go to school. just be up front with her and ask her to pick another name.

Tell her you want to pick a middle name that goes with it and make it just as weird, like "Mindaclozit". That might reopen the issue. Otherwise good luck with your daughter - maybe you can call her "Warey" for short.

Tell her if she names your daughter that you will always just call her Sara, or some other "normal". I think she has bot to be pulling your leg, no one would name their daughter Wareyoat.
