Because someone has convinced a bunch of people in the world that this will warm up the earth so much as to threaten life on earth,"global warming" the biggest crock of hooey in history. But it has managed to make a bunch of scientific groups very wealthy through private donations and government grants. So here they are telling us how much the earth will warm up in the next century, that it's all mankind's fault even though the earth has gone through much more extreme changes before mankind, and of course these are the same people who can't accurately tell you if it's going to rain Friday, but they know the approximate temp of the earth in the year 2106. Does the word scam come to mind.

Because of Global Warming and the inevitable destruction of the earth by the carbon dioxide emissions. Yes I sound like I am alot older than 15 but I am 15. Yes Carbon Dioxide is plant food but with the destruction of forestry world wide, there are just too much carbon dioxide emissions in the world piling up from factories, car exhaust, and other mechanical items that use natural resources for energy.
If the use of natural resources continues to increase, then the destruction of the world will come sooner than expected and the way I sugest to slow global warming is to plant more plants and use less natural resources.

Carbon Dioxide is a greenhouse gas. It basically traps heat in the atmosphere and warms us all up. What with all the deforestation happening in the world the plants can't keep up anymore, if we keep going the way we're going the world will get hotter and hotter until the ice caps melt (which will itself stop reflecting heat as it will no longer be white) and pretty much the whole planet will be flooded.
This will be an annoyance to many people. After this happens and most people have drowned there will suddenly be hardly anything emitting carbon dioxide and the world will cool very quickly, creating an ice age. Yay!

There is some data to support the theory that CO2 in the atmosphere is responsible for causing less heat energy to be radiated from the atmosphere into space and is causing the average global temperature to rise at an alarming rate. If it was a simple matter of plants consuming the excess CO2, you're right that it would be merely plant food. But the plants we have on the earth now do not seem to be keeping up with the increase of the percentage CO2 making up gases in the atmosphere, probably because plants would only be effective consuming CO2 near the surface of the earth. Any CO2 not near the surface would be unable to be absorbed by plant life.

Yes, CO2 is plant food. However the CO2 level in the atmospher has increased from 270 ppm to 380 ppm in the last 100 years. That makes it much higher than CO2 levels have been in the last million years. It has changed more in 100 years than it normally does in 100,000 years.
CO2 helps to trap heat in the atmosphere and can potentially cause major climate changes which could involve the melting of more glaciers, artic and antartic ice and the flooding of low lying lands. It disrupts weather patterns, causing crop failures and other disasters.
There is some doubt about how much of the changes in temperature are due to CO2 and other human caused changes and how much is due to natural changes such as the sun warming up recently.

probable. Oil companies and coal companies are actually not oftentimes related, via the way. you may desire to evaluate that cap-and-commerce isn't an remoted piece of law. For one component, in the proposed invoice there are provisions which positioned funds into determination gas and renewable skill technologies study and implementation. In different words, the oil and coal companies are not only managing a value on carbon that they'd only bypass alongside to their shoppers. they're additionally managing the emergence of electric powered autos and renewable skill thoughts. in the event that they enhance their expenditures too lots, human beings could have possibilities and bypass someplace else. a lot of human beings are already ingesting much less gasoline via procuring hybrids, employing much less, and so on. As for coal, the invoice additionally has a call for that utilities get 20% of their skill from renewable ingredients via 2020. There are going to be very few new coal plant life geared up sooner or later, so i don't think of there is any question that the coal marketplace will take powerful in salary, which would be handed directly to the renewable skill marketplace. i'm particular it will be a mix the place they bypass some expenses to the client and likewise take powerful of their enormous income margins. in spite of the undeniable fact that it should not be like gasoline expenditures will all at as quickly as skyrocket to $5/gallon or skill expenditures to twenty-5 cents in keeping with kWh. in case you enhance expenditures, you apart from mght decrease call for.

Yes. It is food for plants and trees etc. But we have cut down so much trees we have surplus Co2 and too much of it hangin there destroying our way of life by creating the green house effect. So go and plant a tree.

Hi. Yes it is, but too much of it acts like a blanket, holding in heat. That is the real issue, how the heat will change things.
