There is a plugin for Firefox called VideoDownloader that will download videos off of over 66 stites (including YouTube and Google Video)

I asked this once a few months ago on here and got one answer but it was a good one.
You can use http://www.keepvid.com to extract the .FLV file from the website (or get it by viewing html source of the page, if you know a little bit about that), and then there is a program you can buy for about $30US that converts any video file of like 25 types into mpg or avi or wmv. Let me see if I can find my link to that software....

they discourage people from downloading it by making their videos use non-conventional formats.
When you watch your videos, it is actually downloaded as a internet temporary file so if you go into your internet temporary file, find the file ( i think the format name is .ftv) and then drag it out of that folder so that it doesnt get cleared the next time you clear your internet termporary files.
Then you have to download a converter online (download.com might have) that converts ftv files to avi or mpeg files.
Such a hassle, I just create an account on youtube and save my favorites there.

1.download FLVPlayer

2.go to the video you like to downloan
3.copy the URL
4.go to www.keepvid.com and put the URL in then enter downloan it drop it in to FLVPlayer there you go

the copy that into your browser
then File>save page as

Yes use tihs web site to download the .flv file than use flvconverter to convert it to a mpeg file.

No they don't allow that. If you have a youtube accout you can add it to your favorites so you wont lose it though
