For your wedding how did you decide who walked down the aisle with who? Did you not care and just picked names. Did you base it off of heights, bodytypes, personalities, friends with certain ones so you matched them together if two in your party were friends....etc.

Explain how you matched your bridesmaids and grooms mens. There might be a tradion to this I'm not aware of.

Curious to read your responses thanks!

Sisha, i'm not saying it isn't all about the bride. Only curious how others matched them together. It is part of planning is all.

The tallest bridesmaid was paired with the tallest male, the shortest bridesmaid was paired with the shortest male and the matron of honor was paired with the best man (they were also married to each other). This just looked better in photos and in dancing. I think putting a very tall woman with a short man looks ridiculous and is very unsympathetic to the people as well.

I didn't have bridesmaids, but if I had I would have put them together according to height. There is nothing stranger then seeing a really tall bridesmaid with a shorter guy or the other way around.

Standing rule....if a Bridegroom and Bridesmaid are already a couple or married....they have to be with each other.

Otherwise, just do it by height. Looks better in the pictures.

Your maid of honor, usually you best friend should be paired with his best man. Although if they are already married to other people, it is not uncommon fro the best man to walk down with the groom( to save conflict with their spouses) and the maid of honor walks down just before and father. Brides maids and groomsmen should be paired on relationships to both bride and groom. And if single their compatibility to each other.
