Scrap as much as you can off. Then take a paper grocery bag and place on the spot- iron over the spot and the paper bag will absorb some of the wax. You will need to move the paper bag around because it wont absorb all the wax on one spot of the bag.
I would be careful with paper towells as they burn easier. The paper grocery bag can take a little more heat from the iron.

Never had to do this, but i suppose you could try a hair dryer to soften the wax, then an old tooth brush to brush it out.

Don't use anything warm, it will make the wax seep into the fabric. Use ice.

depending on the type of fabric you can use ice to harden the wax, and then just peel it off or use a comb to scrape it off.
