are the Europeans doing enough to fight the war on terror?

Of course this question is also extended to Asia particularly India who suffers terrorist acts.I don'expect anything from China ,although it appears it may be benefiting from it.I think the Iranians have the Chinese the Russians and the French in their pockets.

Many of these countries don't want to or cant do battle with Terror because they fear that the number of terrorist attacks would multiply should they take a stand. We know we cant depend on the UN because they make all these resolutions against countries, then cant enforce them. Look at Sadam and Iraq. UN is worthless and needs to be disbanded.

People Like France don't have a spine, they couldn't defend themselves in two world wars. India is like many other third world countries and have so much diversity in their culture, they cant do effective battle against terrorism.

I like the old saying that auto repairman used to use after checking someones vehicle, " you can pay me now or pay me later"

Well, same thing about terrorist, " we can fight them now or fight them later." I much rather we fight on foreign soil than have daily car bombs and suicide bombers blowing up in Walmart, McDonald's, Target, Starbucks or any other place in Home Town USA.

If you are asking about the Europeans not doing enough to fight the war on terror, please keep in mind that the British are Europeans, and we seem to be doing all of Europe's fighting. I agree that the mainland Europeans (or as us British say, the continentals) are not doing enough, they are not doing anything except for cowering away because they are frightened of attacks that they might get, of course, if Paris was attacked, the French would fold in seconds and all panic would break out. Take a look at London, my nations' capital was attacked and we gave the terrorists a blow by not reacting the way they wanted us to.

Now, with Asia, India won't be able to do anything, if they did, they'd have a civil war on their hands, plus, they are in the middle of a nuclear stand-off with their Pakistani neighbours. China hasn't intervened yet, and probably won't get involved full stop. Japan seems to be the only nation in Asia that is actually doing anything to combat this threat.

However, with the Europeans, as I said, the only nation in the European Union that is doing any fighting is Britain, and we have helped the Americans out more times in the past few years than any other nation in Europe, the continentals are not doing anything, but if you were to ask if the British were doing enough, you'd get a solid "Yes" both from us and the Americans.

I agree with Phish this is not Europes problem apart from England who got dragged mostly unwillingly into it by that toadying creep Blair why does America expect the world to support a policy that is only making things worse in 5 years have the ones responsible for 9/11 been brought to justice all thats been achieved is that America has lost all credibility and any moral standing that it had and England has been humiliated by Blair and laughed at by other countries

Europeans have had a lot more experience with terrorism than the US, and they know what is counter productive by now.
As was pointed out before, the so called "war on terror" is just a silly slogan to keep people in line and blind them to the real goals.

no they're not doing enough by MY standards. but mine is different from yours i'm sure. and yours is different from the next guy and the next. americans are over doing it, we have just insited a civil war in iraq!! so what is the solution to extremists, terrorists, and dictators. well i dont have one good answer. so if there are so many different answers then there will be different "ways" to combat terrorism. so what we call "not enough" work to fight terrorism, they might call "just enough". we have to rely on the UN to do the deciding. and we have to put this planet in God's hands. i know that sounds hokey to some people, but if we could use our individual faiths for good instead of evil then we might have a fighting chance.
