Anything to keep the mind and body active.
I suggest horseshoes, washers and so on.
Also, try memory games, like, name the TV Dad and use shows from the 50's and 60's. Also make a home version of monopoly, bingo or keno. I work in a nursing facility and my residents love all of the above. Good luck!!!

I'm having trouble with this question - since one only has to be a little over 40 yrs old to be a grandparent. Do you mean really really old grandparent people? nursing home residents? I'm a grandparent and my favorite activity is computers and the internet.

Remember that age is only a number. To be a grandparent doesn't necessarily mean that you would be playing games and participating in activities that younger people wouldn't... I am a grandparent ... and at 41, I am active in many indoor and outdoor sports and activities that some people half my age aren't. So, you could simply ask the grandparents what activities they are interested in ... you never know ... you might be surprised with their answers!

I would suggest card games like rummy, pinnochle, or Bridge.

bingo, the gambling boat, fishing, crochate, board games with grandchildren, and cards with friends.
