We need to quit trying to pick sides in the middle east. All that has ever done is empower our enemies. We pick a side give them training, weapons, and money. Then when they eliminate there problem, they come after us. Then we are faced with two enemies, instead of just one. Don't we have enough to worry about in America with crime, hunger, and the homeless.

Chainsaw...believe it or not, save your first sentence, I totally agree with you. The liberal ideal is helping others to help themselves. We need welfare reform, not immigration reform. If we made Americans work, then there would be no jobs for illegals to "steal". The problem is that many Americans don't want to work.

If we had more programs to help people in the right way, by making them responsible for their own sucess, instead of just handing out the checks every month with no follow up. We would greatly improve the economic conditions for all Americans.

tom...Agree, instead of spending billions on Iraq, we could have focused on ending our dependence on foreign oil.

Our government can't solve the problems we have here in the good old USA, such as the homeless, hunger, crime, violence, lack of medical care for millions and millions of Americans, high cost of medical care, treatment of our senior citizens, high taxes...and more taxes...cost of food, gas, lay-offs, loss of jobs due to all the foreign crap coming in. Our government doesn't listen to the American people....oh...unless your a loud mouth celebrity.

I agree! Let's ignore what's going on outside of America. That's what we did, for instance, when the Arab terrorists blew up the Cole and murdered our sailors and what did it get us? A few years of peace while they planned the next, more spectacle attack--9/11. But let's just forget all that. They won't bother us again.

I believe we tried isolationism. And then 12-7-1941 happened. It doesn’t matter we will still get roped into it one way or the other.
Although I do agree with you.

I'm going to shock you... but political party doesn't mean **** to me. It only matters to me when some asshole votes on things only because his party wants it that way instead of voting on his own beliefs. And yes... we have a lot to worry about in America, but if you've ever read some of the Doctrines created (Monroe.. and Roosevelt?) you'll know that we have commited to aiding smaller nations with use of force.

We have so much that needs fixing right here in our own backyard.....it's disgraceful.

We need to make a beach out of Iran, Syria, and North Korea. Blow them sky high. Then we can have some peace.

You clearly do not understand the concept of personal choice. In a free society, people make choices as to what they want to do with their lives. Most poor people are poor because of their habits. They are impulsive with what they buy, they spend more than they can make, they have bad attitudes, etc.

But Republicans are much too shortsighted and greedy to resist the opportunity when it arises.
