They aint stupid are they, actually local councils lay down levels of charges for taxis, and Christmas etc is double time..
However i suppose minicabs can charge what bthey want so there might be a case for Christians borrowing a joseph and the Technicolour dream coat outfit from the local theatrical coutumier, and a false beard and charging double at Ramadan.

Do you not think it's just taxi drivers in general that charge double? Why the segregation between muslim and christian. Personally I don't see why muslim drivers should lose out when every other taxi driver out there is charging double?
Aren't we all equal after all?

Well, you see the think is that taxi drivers, in general, well, you just can't get much out of them, not the brainiest personal, and that’s exactly why them think that they can get a lot out of you, but don't make no mistake, making them think otherwise, let's keep them happy, shall we?
I know an extremely good joke about taxi drivers, but the fact that a certain category is debated; it may just sound a bit awkward, so I’ll pass on that.
Hey the answer with the body that regulates the prices is rock hard man, I'd put my house on it, wuh run far baby that's hot. :)

Actually Taxi fares are set by the Public Carriage Office which is run by the government. They are standard and the drivers have no say in it.

If you are talking about mini cabs well... Who knows!? They just make it up as they go along don't they?

Anyway I included a link for what they charge so you can make sure you don't get done!

Who gave me a thumbs down? What did I say that was wrong or offencive?

Saying Muslim taxi drivers only charge high fares is not a fair statement. Well i guess you don't get out much. Not only do Muslim taxi drivers charge high prices, Christian, Hindus, Jews, Atheists etc (basically every taxi driver) charge high fares at Xmas. Why not?? When its a holiday they have to work taking more drunks back and forth who give them aggro, puke all over the interior, swear like mad then leg it quicker than you can say taxi without paying their fare. They have family's to feed and have to cover their expenses and hardship somehow.

Some Muslims may chose to celebrate the birth of the prophet Isa (peace be upon him). It just so happens that Isa is the Arabic name for Jesus.

Because its explotation...They know that business is good during holidays like Christmas and it's a good way to make an extra few bucks.

To be honest..I wouldn't care who picked me up in a taxi..whether they be white, black or purple...As long as i'm out of the cold and get to where i'm going.

Merry Christmas and thanks mate!!
