Not sure what kind of car we are talking about here, but those are also symptoms of a torque convertor locking up. Try starting the car and leaving it park or neutral, does it start to shake and die? Or does it just do that when it's in gear? Will it also start to shake and die, when you start slowing to make a turn? If so I would go by a transmission shop and let them drive it. On some transmissions you can unplug the solenoid and see if it acts the same way afterwards. If it doesn't then that's your problem.

Moisture or water in the gas can do this. Go out and buy a bottle of dry gas and add it to a full tank of gas so it can evaporate the water in your tank. Also, look for fuel injector cleaner. Maybe your jets are clogged. It does not sound like an electrical problem so it can only be a fuel or air problem.

Sounds like it could be the fuel pump or fuel filter. Something along those lines. It could also be the timing.
