Yeah I was wondering how much it would cost to have a BMW 330ci (i think it was made in the year 2000) completely repainted to change the color, done professionally so it looked like it did when it was bought, just a different color. Its a convertable but has a hard top that you can put on during the winter (that would need to painted too). I want to change the color from a metallic really light blue to black. I've heard its really pricy, and I'm hoping someone knows the exact price or where I can find it. thx.

I think Stan's got it. Paint jobs can have a huge difference in price. You can spend $150, but your not going to give a BMW a $150 paint job, you'll be lucky if there's no paint on the windows. On the flip side, you can easily spend over $5000 and that's just one color, no fancy metallic or anything. I would suggest going to a good local body shop, not an earl shieb or maaco, and getting their opinion.

Best alternative: Learn to love the color on there.

There's not enough info for a informed answer to your question. The price of your paint job will be affected by the type of paint, Metallic, "flip-Flop", etc. Also it will depend on where you get it painted and if they use alot of laquer to get the shiny effect. If you can give us the type of paint you're thinking of, and how many gallons of paint you're gonna need then we can come back with the exact costs in the areas we are located. Maybe a general location where you intend to get the work done...?

To get it professionally painted inside and out you are looking at about £600. You can save yourself some money if you do some of the work yourself, strip out the interior seat, carpets etc. Remove the bumpers, grills, windscreen wipers. If the windscreens are not bonded in you can remove these as well. Ja.

It would cost around 7 to 8000 dollars. Your car woul have to be stripped down, engine taken out, and alot of other stuff. That is if you want it done professionally. Dont go to Maaco, those guys will just spray over your original paint "Ambassador paint Job" LOL

You could probably get it done for under $500 for a 30ft. paint job (doesn't look too bad from 30ft. away). A good, quality job could cost you $4000 to $5000. Check out the better body & paint shops in your area.

you are better off selling the car and buying one in black its very costly and a lot of work it will need to be totally stripped interior engine pannels glass etc and not everything goes back as well as it came off you will have a box of bits left over and a few rattles or you will pay 10 grand plus
