Yes it is faster, but you may not notice a difference.

No real advantage over SATA as a single drive. Needs motherboard with SATA-II support.

Western Digital’s Raptor Serial ATA-150, this Serial ATA-150 disk will be faster than any Serial ATA-II/300 disk you can possibly buy.
