Example i have 30 kids in my class only 20 showed up how would i figure out what percent of people showed up plz explain in detailk

i will help you out with this one for now, but next time, please do your own homework, or try a homework help line. You take 20 divided 30, then multiply by 10, which will give you 66.67%, then you can round it up to 67%.

percent means number in 100
you had 20 out of 30, how many would you have had if it was a class of 100?
20/30 = x/100
cross multiply
2000 = 30x
2000/30 = x
x = 66.6%

20 kids showing up / 30 kids in the class = 2/3 attending, and 2/3 = 0.6667 (approximately). To get the percentage, multiply by 100 and get 66.67%.

Divide the amount that showed up by the the total number of kids in the class.

20 ÷ 30 = 0.666666667 is the decimal equivalent

0.666666667 x 100 = 66.6666667%

66.66 % rounded to two decimal places

The answer is 66.66 %
