Has anyone read the book choke? It is written by Darnella Ford?

I thought it was pretty good. It had sort of a ghetto Jackie Collins feel to it. What I mean is Vanessa goes through so much: Divorce from husband, Moving to neighborhood she hates, daughter with much potential but destined to be sucked into the streets without intervention...etc.

I was really surprised with the oral sex scene with her daughter and the boy. didn't actually see that one coming but boy did Vanessa scare the pee out of that boy. Yeah she should have been discussing sex with her daughter and an earlier age because she could have ended up preganant instead of the bj.

Her neighbors were just wild and straight ghetto and yes a very bad influence.

I was, however, very happy that even though Vanessa did have to prostitute herself, the book had a happy ending.

I'm looking foreward to reading more by Ms. Ford
