Are their certain foods a girl should eat to get vitamins/minerals when she is on her period?? Just wondering..thanks <3*

a good multi-vitamin everyday is a good idea whether you have your cycle or not. also women should take calcium is you dont get enough dairy products in your diet

It would depend on your blood levels. All women should take a multi vitamin and typically a little extra iron during our period is good since we are loosing iron (thru the bleeding) during out menstral cycles. But you may be anemic or low in other areas and should have a CBC (Complete blood count) and your doctor will recommend exactly what you should take. People think that taking vitamins is always ok but they should be considered drugs and taken only under the supervision of a doctor after the appropriate blood work is taken.

Iron is important, especially for women whohave heavy periods. Heavy periods can cause anemia. Iron is present in foods like red meat, spinach (the frozen kind for now!), brocolli.

eat lots of foods high in iron, such as liver, spinach and so forth..i have trouble withn mine cause i hate liver and spinach though so i have to take lots of vitamins daily. so if u can stomach the good food i would do that, taking these pills getsaggrivating.
