I live in ohio and have been searching for a legal reference on this question but I have not found anything. Please help!!!!

Yes. The insurance covers you for the entire month, so you will not receive a refund on it.

If your employer pays the insurance in full on a month to month basis, and then deducts your portion from your pay - the answer is yes.

It is simply unreasonable to expect the employer to foot your insurance bill when you don't even work for them any longer.

Yes, you can, normally you would pay it to COBRA which covers your insurance you have to pay for it for like 8 weeks after you quit or lose your job.
