It's an old song, going back before the 80's. The title is Gloria and the word is spelled out in the lyrics. It definitely was NOT song by U2. They were probably NOT EVEN BORN when this song came out. I can't remember the group or singer.
I know there's a website called lyrics.com. Perhaps the name of the singer/s would be on there.

them (van morrison) did the original
the doors coverred it, as did patti smith
U2 also has a song called gloria

There was an old song named "Gloria," where they also spell out the name. I don't believe there was much else in the way of lyrics, however.
