Depends - did you have a lot of tearing, or an episiotomy? By 4 weeks things should be *mostly* healed, but if you're concerned, call your doctor. We're not experts, but your doctor is, and he/she knows the details of your delivery better than we would.

Yes its very normal for just giving birth 4 weeks ago and it probably will hurt for at least another two weeks until you have your 6 week postpartum checkup with your OB/GYN Did you give birth naturally? If so i can only imagine that it hurts since i had my son via c-section and i had a epidural but the vaginal area still hurts and I didnt stop hurting until i had my first period which was eight weeks after i had the baby and since i didnt breastfeed but everyone is different

Yes, Hun, it's normal...especially if you had to have an episiotomy...I had to have 24 stitches..I was afraid to pee, or do ANYTHING else!! It will take a good month or two, sometimes three, to stop feeling like you had a telephone pole shoved up your what not!! After all, you did just push a child out of there!!!

Yes, this is very normal, that is why the doctor tells you that you should not do anything for at least 6 weeks. You are fine.

Everyone heals at different paces. After I had my daughter 12 years ago, it was almost time for my 6 week check-up before the pain was completely gone. CONGRATULATIONS!

Yes it is, it can take months for things to return to normal. You should have an appointment with your OB/GYN soon so check with him or her.

YES IT IS. I FELT NUMB DOWN THERE. I WOULD GIVE IT AT LEAST TWO WEEKS MORE, THEN I WOULD GO TO THE DOCTOR. YOU ARE SUPPOSE TO GO FOR YOUR SIX WEEK CHECK UP IN TWO MORE WEEKS, YOU COULD TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR THEN.
