It depends on what your wanting to lube!
If you want to hammer a nail or put a wood screw in wood, easy with little effort dip it in any soap, or spit works great!
Squeaky doors hinges any thing works:
soap, shampoo, vicks, vaseline, cooking oils, coconut oil
Motor oils, greases, 3 in 1 oil,
For locks the best is graphite liquid or dry.
Becareful if its something flammable around a flame.
This may sound funny, but TRUE. Fire fighters use soap mixed in with water to fight some fires. They call it wet water. By using soap it allows the water to penetrate things say like a hay fire to help eatinguish a fire.
Use your good judgement, there are alot of things around the house to use.

Lube? Well I can tell you whats NOT good for lube. Spit.
That's right,contrary to popular belief its not a good lubricant. Go to rite aid, buy some KY and be happy. You can always try
Vaseline,cooking oil,Pam,butter, who knows? You may have more fun experimenting to find out yourself whats good for lube!

Most stuff listed above will work.....but NOT with condoms.....latex is very sensitive to petroleum and other stuff.....no Vaseline and stuff if you're using rubbers.
Anyone here old enough to remember the sex scene in "Last Tango in Paris"? Very hot use of butter!

try using water from the shower head or some promite.

I've heard good things about Olive Oil.....and I can verify the answer about shampoo....keep it faaaar away...ouch.
