try dipping a cutip in rubbing alcohol and dabbing the ink.
If rubbing alcohol does not work, you can try denatured alcohol (at hardware store with solvents)
If that doesn't work use xylene (also with solvents)
the xylene will work for sure, but it is a strong solvent, and it may affect the leather dye.
be sure to whipe it with soapy water after you clean it.

I wouldn't even try removing it if I was you as it tends to get worse and smudge. I hate when that happens to tan coloured bags too but if it is near the strap of the bag you can either do what I did, tie a light crepe neck tie around it or hang a handbag decor piece like for phones- it works and distracts from the mark.

You don't need to wash the jacket. The best thing to remove ink (any kind, even sharpie or permanent ink) is to use plain old rubbing alcohol. Lightly rub the ink with a soft rag soaked in rubbing alcohol. The alcohol won't hurt your jacket and will remove the ink. Enjoy your jacket again!

Hairspray. But, since it is leather spray the hairspray on a cloth and then wipe the ink mark.

DiDi Seven. This is truly a miraculous product but it works on EVERY stain. It is not cheap and as far as I know is not sold in stores. I used to buy it at Walgreens but apparently they quit carrying it.
I now order it online from wonderfulbuys.com. or you can call them toll free at 1-800-829-1245 (24 hrs a day). I paid $9.99 for a 3.5 oz tube. A tube will last me for a year unless I try to clean my white formica with straight bleach. It resolved that problem for me.
Just my input for your info. Good luck

Try to wash the bag in the washing machine and if it doesn't come out, try clorox pen remover.
