I think if that is what she likes to do let her keep doing it.
I bought myself a chain saw...and I use it every autumn pruning things. I have all kinds of tools because I don't want to be dependent on a man...never had one that knew how to use a tool anyway. My dad built three houses and only had a GED. He was also a cop. I spent my childhood being with him while he cut every tree and layed every block and brick, floor and roof tile, floor board and framing. He taught me things my brothers had not interest in. I love the smell of lumber more than Channel No. 5 perfume.. I would rather be in jeans than a dress and I look great in a dress....with a bod like Jayne Mansfield adn at 5' 9 /12", I was forced by necessity to make my own clothes as well to get the proper fit.. But so what? I still would rather be in jeans swinging a hammer, painting a room, fixing the toilet or garbage disposal. It is not what we look like - its what well feel like..being creative , resourceful and independent... conquering tasks that were in the areas of costly manly jobs is empowering to us...so like it or not leave her alone and consider yourself the luckiest guy on earth for not being married to a helpless, brainless Barbie doll. I also had a wrangler jeep when they first came out...at least 10 other younger women lusted over it and many bought one too...so I am convinced there are more like us than you realize. I desperately need a small truck but can't afford having two sets of wheels or I would have that too. I have no doubt your wife is as feminine as the rest of us...but tackling jobs is what she is good at....be grateful and stop your whinning.
Put a rose on your next tool present and tell her you got the better part of the bargain when she agreed to marry you.

Buy her something she asked for but also buy her something you would like her to wear. Tell her how beautiful she is and you think it will make her even more sexy. If she is not a prissy woman start slow amd maybe buy her sexy nightwear and a nice bottle of purfume. Hopefully she will see she can have both sides of her world, the overalls and workbelt along with "dinnerware". Hopefully it will make her feel you are doing it to spice up your marriage and not for anyother reason. If that fails sit her down and talk with her about your wants and how you would like her to dress every once in awhile, if that fails perhaps consider calling What not to wear on TLC. Good like finding the woman inside her.

send her for a massage at a spa. don't get a manicure or facial since some girls (especially ones that are new to the spa scene) find those useless or not as relaxing. Once she gets into more girly things, she'll start asking for those girly things. No woman would walk out of a spa and ask for a wood splitter. Take her to a fancy restaurant, bring her shopping and stop at a girly store. send her to a beautician to get her hair and make-up done. the more you expose her to the benefits of that lifestyle the more inclined she'll be to living it.

Buy her a dress and dance with her.
If she insists on wearing those overalls, maybe you should try wearing some tights and aprons around the house until she gets the message. Do not do this when she is armed with a camera.

Tell you are taking her for a night on the town, and buy her one.
Or swap with me, my husband would looooooove a woman like that. He would never have to mow or fix things again! (I already mow 1/2 the lawn anyway, thanks)
If she has liked things like that all along, just realize that's how she is and accept it.

Did she wear dresses when you first met her? If not, then give up and accept who you married. You sound like a woman - getting married only to see what you can change your spouse INTO. Love her for who she is! And get her the damn chainsaw.

Your wife is who she is and you chose her to be your wife. I doubt she will wear a dress if you do buy her one. Buy her everything on her list and add a very simple heart shaped diamond necklace. She will love it and when she wears it she will automatically feel more feminine. Baby steps :-)

Im not sure if you can, this just sounds like who she is. Id talk to her about it, you know her , we dont. All you can do is ask her to be more feminine when shes not working with the manly things.
