Talking about a very interesting topic and getting lost in conversation. having lots of great eye contact. Feeling mutual respect. That's when flirting can begin! Most importantly, having it be natural, unplanned and unrehearsed.
When I guy is rehearsed with me I am so very turned off. It's like he read a dating book and is following directions of what worked for someone else. How unoriginal and unsexy.

In my single days, when I was in a bar and I saw a woman I liked, I'd ask the bartender to get her whatever she was drinking (on me of course). If she refused, I knew she wasn't interested, but if she accepted....!!
