1.The lengths of the sides of a triangle are 3t, 5t-12, and t+12. Does any value of "t" make the traingle equilateral?

Yes. When t = 6

then
3t = 18 and
5t-12 = 18 and
t+12 = 18

Just in case you were wondering how the people who answered 6 came up with the answer.
First you take two of the sides and put an equal sign between them.
3t=5t-12
Solve for t
2t=12, so t=6
Then you substitute the answer in this case 6 in all 3 sides
3*6=18, 5*6-12=18, 6+12=18
If all 3 come up with the same number you have a winner, if not nothing will make it equilateral

No, if you use 1 as t, the sides are 3, 13 and -7 so they are not equilateral.

no because if u plug in any number for t it won't work
t=3 let's say
3t=9
5t-12=3
t+12=15

it is a scalene triangle
