You'll have to do the gluing on land, but once it's set, it will stay put underwater.

You cant keep the gun hot enough to melt the glue underwater. Plus most hot glue guns are eletric so you might get electruded if you try.

if you glue somethin with hot glue, wait for it to cool and then put it underwater than yes it will hold the two pieces together.
