we put the dvd in and put it on video 1 and no sound we dont know what to do

its not new and the wires are hooked up and weve had sounds on it before. we had this prob. before and my dad fixed it but i dont remember what he did.

its a apex. everything is hooked up fine its just something with the sound setting or something we dont have on or something.

Make sure the audio inputs are plugged ALL the way in.

Is the audio wire in the right slot?
Is it hooked to a receiver for surround sound? Make sure you it set to CD and you don't have a little LED light on that says Tape1 or Tape 2.
Your settings may depend on what brand of DVD player you have and how you have it hooked up..

buy a new DVD player. You did not say that it was new. You did not say that you had used it before. You did not say whether or not it was hooked up to the tv-DVD players don't have sound-the television does.

are all of the yellow white and red cords pluged into the T.V.? If not put them in and it shoudl work! Good Luck !

if its a portible dvd player then they come like that.and if it is a home dvd player idk srry for not answering ur q that good.
