I think you are referring to The Sims. It is a very fun game. You can not only build and decorate homes but you "live" the lives of the people in the game. I doubt you can download it online, since the purchased game is about 6 CDs. I bought it on ebay for relatively inexpensively.

The simms with two mm's is integrated mathemathics, I think you mean the sims 2 the actual game but you have to buy it in the stores.

The Sims? Yes but I think you have to pay for it.
