Defensive line in football -- you've got to hit someone hard on each and every play.

I asked Hubby He says Goalie for Hockey - Because you have to catch a puck flying at you at high speeds while your own team mates are blocking your view. While all of that is going on you have to hold your postion on skates with all of that going on. It isn't like you get to move around. Its the hardest postion to play period. If you miss once out of 30 times your a loser where anyone else can have a 30 percent success rate and be concidered the best in the sport.

Football - offensive line. Hubby played both offense and defense in Highschool. He an honestly say its a lot harder to protect the quarterback from guys who can knock you down when you can only block them than it is for a guy who can knock you down. Goalie is worse because at least in Football the Quarterback has a chance to get out of the way if you fail to stop the defender.

Baseball - Catcher You have a hundred mile fastball flying at your head and the gear you use to protect your face can also limit your view. On top of that all it takes is one bad swing or someone throwing the bat instead of letting go of it and no matter how much padding you have your going to get hurt. You are also expected to play half of each inning in a squating postion then stand up and be able to stand at the plate, hit the ball and run the bases, even if your legs get cramps or go to sleep. Hubby played Baseball from the time he was 8. He played every postion there was including pitcher. But, Catcher was his main postion. He will tell you Goalie is still worse but only because its done on skates.

Basketball - There isn't a postion harder than any other. All postions basicly do the same thing dribble the ball, shoot the ball, steal the ball, stop others from making shots. Where your at on the court in postioning doesn't matter nearly as much as your skills in doing those things when your out of your postion.

Gaurd in football. Its the hardest of all sports because you are constantly getteing rushed form the inside the outside and sometimes straight at you! You alwayas have to shift from left to right and up and down for the hole game! Your body starts to fell really tired and you are hurting all over your body and the worst part is you still have to fight the DE and DT no matter how badly you are hurting!!

Quarterback. Not only do you have to be in top form physically, you probably do more studying & research than a masters degree candidate. Not to mention a quarterback holds more responseability for the outcome of a game than any other single position.

In hockey, the goalie. The puck is really small and moving at over a hundred and something miles per hour at you, and you have to stop it.

Hockey; any player. They make the least amount of money (and no, they don't make millions, that would only be the MLB, NBA and NFL), and they take the worst amount of physical abuse.

either catcher in baseball
He sees the whole field (only player), guards the most important base, and has to direct the pitcher. most managers used to be catchers

or qb
has to control whole game, directs players where to go, can get hit very hard if he has bad linemen

I'd have to say, the coach. By far the most stressful position.
