First of all you have lots of math involved in basketball. The rim of the basket is exactly twice the size of a regulation basketball. You have 10 feet high baskets, 15 feet from the foul line to the basket, and a court that is 4 times that length. Then the width is 1/2 of the length. Then you have the angles involved in the shooting and passing. Plus the dribbling is force against hands and floor. Then you have the square backboard. All these things add up to a very scientific game with out any players involved.

well for example measuring the trajectory that the basketball has to travel in other to go into the net.

at what angle do you have to shoot

what kind of spin should u put on the ball

nowadays in basketball and other competative sports technology is being used to improve the performance of atheletes. In went thru some training using some special shoes which were supposed to streghten the muscle which allow u to jump higher.

I also used a vest which added weight to the body making u have to work harder to shoot jump shots. When i took that thing off i felt like i was flying everytime i took a shot

i have no clue if this has anything to do with your question
