Intelligence or cognition changes are we grow only in that the areas of intelligence that we have can be taught but our innate intelligence remains the same.
Emotional Intelligence the ability to manage your or handle other emotion said to be the ability to drive oneself to achieve a goal. Analytical giftedness (problem solving) suppresses creativity. Howard Gardener believes in multiple intelligences (7 areas) in that each defined is independent of each other you can be good in all of them.

Wrong!! Your intelligence level can fluctuate depending on what you are exposed to. If you stimulate your brain by reading, working puzzles, participating in debate/ discussions, watching educational television, etc. and increase your knowledge, your intellect increases. But watch the Jerry Springer show just one time, and you will actually feel the IQ points melt away.
