my mum has a friend who she's been intouch with for over 4 years on the internet, they became good friends and she was asked to go over to Florida fo a visit, when she got back home, she said she had a wonderful time, whilst she was there her friend asked my mum if she would consider having her 20 year old daughter come over to stay with her because she wants to come to England and study, anyways my mum said yes, anyways this girl has been here just 6 weeks and she treats my mum like dirt...i have came close to slapping her twice because of her horrible attitude, she always complains about her room being too small, she moans about the food she is given, if my mum wants her to help out in the house she tells my mum to do it herself, i have told my mum to send her back to Florida, and to contact her parents and tell them whats going on, my mum said she does not want any fuss....she told my mum to shut up the other day...so i flipped out...should my mum send her back...i think she should

The discipline procedure for a 4 year old is as follows:
Tell them the rules.
If they break a rule you tell them the rule, WHY we have the rule, WHAT will happen if the rule is broken again and have them REPEAT to you back in own words the rule and consequences.
IF they break a rule, THEY GET the consequences.
Spell it out for her. Here are the things you need to do to be a productive member of the household. If she doesnt do it, pull the procedure on them.
Treat her like a 4 yr old since she acts like one.
Also never slap her.
Also never argue with an idiot, from a distance, onlookers cant tell who is who.
There are cultural differences to consider so be gentle. If you do everything you CAN to bend over backward to be nice and she is still a twit, send her away.

I think that it is beyond time for being nice. This young woman has clearly missed out on learning how to behave in society. She is not going to become more well-behaved, no matter what you say. She needs to be packed up and sent away, and her parents need to be informed so that your mum and her friend can try to keep their friendship.

Could you contact the brats mum on behalf of your mum, explaining what is happening and your mum doesn't want to make a fuss but the brats behaviour is not acceptable.

I think you should contact her mother and inform her of the situation, your mum is probably too kindhearted to cause any bother.
She sounds like a right spoilt brat and I wouldn't put up with anyone speaking to my mother like that either.
How long as she got to go now?
Perhaps you should ask her to remove herself from your house and find somewhere else to live asap!
See how she likes fending for herself, the *****!

I agree also. She is a guest in your home and you and your mum deserve respect. If she can't give it then go back to Florida where lack of respect and manners doesn't seem to matter

she should tell her friends in florida what is happening and if they do not get her straight or just tell her to come home, something then put the girl in the road.
