Neither. A cows skin is black and white, therefore its fur is black and white. It's a mix. If a cow is mostly black it is a black and white cow. If it is mostly white it is a white and black cow. If it is a highland cow it is brown.

depends because on some if you look closely you will find there is black roots underneath the white hair either way they still get classed as a friesian.
