I think you can make cases for Jason Kidd, Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, Kevin Garnett, Shawn Marion and Andrei Kirilenko.
Who do you think it is and why.

Kobe was never convicted and that was the most obvious "false-rape" case in along time. He's even less guilty than the Duke lacross players.
Also, I'm not sure how you think Kidd sucks considering his rebounding and assist numbers.

Wade's 17% 3 point and lower rebound and assists numbers takes him off the list. Scoring does not make a complete player, that's why Iverson wouldn't be considerd, because he doesn't play D.

3.Shawn Marion-6'8 228lbs.
he gets you every category except assists and because Nash does the passing.he's equally talented on both sides of the ball.
21.8 ppg 11.8 rpg 1.8 apg 1.98 spg 1.69 bpg 53FG% 32 3pt% 81FT%
2.Kevin Garnett-6'11 220lbs.
argubly the best PF in the league does it all on both sides
21.8 ppg 12.7 rpg 4.1 apg 1.37 spg 1.41 bpg 53FG% 81FT%
and the number 1 spot goes to.....
1.LeBron James-6'8 240lbs.
his rookie year he was one of 4 to avverage 20-5-5 in his first year, the others were Michael Jordan, Jerry West and Oscar Robertson, and now he is one of the 3 to average 30-7-6, the two others were Jordan and Robertson.
31.4 ppg 7.0 rpg 6.6 apg 1.56 spg .84 bpg 48FG% 33 3pt% 75FT%

In terms of all the different categories (points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks), as well as there play on the defensive end of the floor, I think you have to consider Garnett, Marion, and Kirilenko. All three player are long, athletic, and able to fill in at multiple postions. I give the slight edge to Garnett, just because he's able to make critical shots at critical times. He does a little bit of everything, but unlike Marion and Kirilenko, he can take over a game offensively when he really needs to. Marion has an ackward looking shot, and can only seem to score from certain positions on the floor. Kirilenko needs to develop a more consistent outside shot. It's a close call, and I think highly of all three players, but at least for now, I'd have to say Garnett.

Why does everybody forget the great TIM DUNCAN?
I mean think about it, he does everything. Just because he's not flashy or doesnt have a personality doesnt mean he's not the best.
Just look at his stats and his team. He has a better team than Jason, Kobe, LeBron, Garnett, and Kirilenko. (Suns may have the better team though, even though Spurs beat them in 5 games 2 years ago)
The difference between Tim and all of them is that Tim makes everyone around him better. Just like Charles Barkley says. You MAY be able to say that about Kidd and Garnett. But that's about it.

first of all, Kobe is a ballhog and can't play as a team because he thinks he's the best. Thats an automatic no for him. I think LeBron is too overrated, though he is a solid player. I think Dwyane Wade and Jason Kidd are the most complete players, they can pass really good, they're great shooters [well D.Wade is working on his outside shot], they can take the ball to the hoop, they can do pretty much anything very well.

Right now I don't think there is one. Maybe by mid season you will get an answer. As for Kobe I don't really care about his private life, he however is not a team player. Everyone people have named here has a problem or two, too overcome. Of Course I have nothing put praise for MJ for he had class and actually still does. The other class player is Dr. J.

My favorite player is Kevin Garnett, and I think it's him. He kind of fell out last year, but he can shoot, rebound, dribble, and he's a great leader. Kidd sucks, Kobe is a rapist, James is my runner up, Shawn Marion has Nash and Amare. Andrei doesnt do enough for his team

How can you all be forgetting Paul Pierce? C's had a down year, but every win they got was completely thanks to Pierce. He's the only player in the entire NBA to lead his team in PPG, Assists, and RBG. Doesn't get much more well rounded than that. And he does it all as the only option on a crummy team so the opponents are obviously keying on him and double teaming him. Nobody else is so great with so little around him, making Paul Pierce the most complete player in the NBA.

All time complete player-Michael Jordan, hes shorter than most people in the league at the time and averages 5-8 rebs. a season, pts. there is no one else-31 ppg average a season steal about 2.1 assists went up as he grew, so about 4, he did everything Wilt + Magic + Bird still doesn't match Micheal Jordan.
