3,600 gallons an hour is a powerful lot of water to filter at one time!!!
You are talking about a large industrial pump! I will assume that this thing probably has at least a 20 inch valute!! and if not, then this pump will not last long because anything less than that will have too much pressure on it, and you will simply "blast" the water out the end!!
I wouldnt know how to make a filter for that!
I wish you well..

Now it is not exactly a pond filter, but it is very cheap...
depending on the size of the pond, a baile of Barley straw will keep the water clear. I suppose on a smaller pond a platic orange/onoin bag stuffed with the straw and weighted down should make a smaller pump more efficient.

You sure you mean 13000? This is probably more than would come out of a burst street main!
As a rule of thumb the filter needs to be 5% the volume of the pond to be really effective.

The water has long previous eco-friendly because of the fact of an algae bloom. The algae have been multiplying because of the fact of too lots nitrogen interior the water, and in all likelihood the upward push in temperature of the water as summer season gets right here. you will desire to keep away from 2 issues to do away with the algae. -- shop the water nitrogen down: - end FEEDING the fish. Any uneaten nutrition and all that fish waste is including nitrogen to the water. The fish can feed themselves fairly fortuitously. - shrink the fish burden on the pond. the rule is a million inch of fish for each 10 gallons, so so which you are able to not have better than 11 inches of fish. - keep away from run off. make constructive that rain water isn't working over your backyard and into the pond. - exchange countless the water. in the journey that your water is nitrogen wealthy, then taking a million/2 of it out and including clean water will dilute it particularly. - do away with any leaves or ineffective plant debris interior the pond. those upload nitrogen. -- shop the water cooler - advance a floor plant like water lily to shade the floor of the pond. - run a small waterfall or fountain to shrink the temperature by potential of evaporative cooling. Algae blooms tend to treatment themselves because of the fact the algae die off, yet you nonetheless have all that ineffective algae on the backside of the pond, which traps nitrogen and could smash down liberating the nitrogen. to keep away from this, you are able to deploy a small filter out which will take out the algae. A sponge bio-filter out works ok.

you get lots of ordinary filters and put them in parallel. It will cost you a bomb in pipe fittings unless you're lucky in some junkyard.
