I like "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love" and "Running with the Devil" from the David Lee Roth days. I don't acknowledge the Sammy Hagar incarnation of Van Halen, and therefore can't offer any songs. Sammy sucks.

I always wonder why people answer questions put up here and have no idea what they're talking about or care!
My favorite Van Halen song is "Hot For The Teacher" mostly because of the drum intro...that is the coolest intro I've ever heard.
As for Hagar...I really didn't like them much after he got into the band. So I quit buying their music.

For both it's hard because they both made great songs.. but loved Sammy Hagar's version better...
DLR Era would probably be "Panama" from 1984
Sammy era would probably be "Human Beings" from the Twister soundtrack
