There is no question that is possible to land on the moon, it is! Dangerous gases and radiation, what planet are you guys on?! As mentioned above, there were some dodgy looking shadows - people worked where there should have been shadows due to the position of the Sun, but they actually in different places due to the artificial astronaut-supplied lighting or something. Also the lighting has been blamed for the lack of visible stars in the sky - like when you're in a city. The flag thing was that it appeared to be blowing in the breeze, but there being a vacuum and all that's clearly not possible. In fact there was a pole across the top of the flag which held it out so we could see it, as it would just hang down if not. People thought it could be a hoax because as said above noone had any idea what it should be like, and it seemed so impossible at the time to the layman. Also it was in the time of the cold war with Russia, so it was seen as a triumph of American technology over Russian.
I feel it is unlikely to be a hoax, and anyway, there have been many more completely genuine moon landings since, so do we really care anyway?

Not this hoary old question again. The moon landing actually happened it was NOT a hoax. This is just a stupid conspiracy theory that insults the courage of the brave men who went there and the achievements of the engineers and scientists who worked towards this goal. Follow the link below it debunks the conspiracy theories. See also the NASA site. I can remember the moon landings. I was 6 and my grandad sat me down early in the morning (UK time) and said "Remember this. This is history in the making." I have never forgotten when Neil Armstrong stepped out of the lunar module. I can still hear in my head his words as he did so. A fake? Never.

There were peole that got together and started the rumour, they were wrong as in the space race USSR would have wanted actual proof anyway, and nw a telescope has been positioned in space so that it also sees the other side of the moon were the landing site actually is.

All these people claiming it was a hoax are just jealous because they are never going to get the chance to do it themselves and are too single minded to believe anything like that can be done because they don't think it can be.

there was a tv program showing how the whole moon landing was a hoax ,because of the shadows that were cast and no stars were visable. But the program did make sense as recently i have seen another tv program claiming that man could never go to the moon because of dangerous gases etc.

Conspiracy theorists say the US never landed on the moon. Using supposed evidence like lack of stars in pictures.. movement of the flag and stuff like that in pictures. They're in no end of TV documentries and that kinda thing. The theories have been floating around for many years.

There was a documentary on TV last year debating on the fact that that it may not of happened and that it may of been filmed in the Desert. Apparently America wanted to beat Russia to the moon so they filmed themselves doing it first!! Apparently it's impossible to land on the moon because of the radiation. Anyway it's often repeated and worth looking out for. It convinced me. I can't remember what it was called though. Something like 'The Man On The Moon Conspiracy' ????

Yup. It is silly rumours. Or maybe the US government is so corrupt currently that people are willing to believe that they have been lying to us for years. And maybe they have.
