I am sure that I heard somewhere that if you have an elephant ornament you should face it a certain way. I think it was towards a door. Does anyone know this one please?

You're right, they should always be facing the door. I have 5 in my living room and they always face the door. A few weeks ago I started having a run of bad luck, exhaust fell off the car, lost £300, in the past 3 days - battery needed changed in the car, next day starter motor went, next day garage replaced starter, but the one they put in is faulty, lots of other little bits and pieces. Just went downstairs to check the elephants and one is facing the wrong way, thanks for prompting me to check. Hope my luck changes back now.

I heard that any elephant ornament is bad luck unless the truck is up to catch and hold the good luck for you - so truck down and facing the door is still bad luck!

facing the door is the best but make sure that the trunk is upwards!!! Very important for good luck. And if you can make it a white elephant, your luck would be so high. I bet you might win the lottery.

my friend has a elephant ornament with its trunk up. and when I was looking at it I said the trunk should be facing towards the window and he loves to play the scratch cards, anyway facing the front room window near the front door brought him bad money luck,,, then he told me that he saw on tv that if you face his trunk inside the house and is butt pointing towards the window it will bring you luck and so I turnt it around so his trunk faced in wards and his butt towards the window.. within 2 hours he sent me out to get him some scratch cards and he won £ 200 and they wins every other day on the scratch cards after they sends me out to get them,, so this way works for money luck,,, mine is also in the window facing inwards,

It should be facing you as you inter the room.
this is so your luck is always coming to you.
if you face it at a door your luck will run out when ever the door is opened.
