why do the elder not develop a fever or white count with sepsis?

hello there!

i believe that the reason that elder do not develop fever and elevation of white blood cells is because there immune system is not very sensitive/effective/ect' (and those 2 reactions are mediated by the immune system).
it is important to recognize this lack of acute response to sepsis in elders 'cos they can develop an acute sepsis (which can risk their life!) with no warning signs....

the elder adults do develop fever with sepsis….you are incorrect.
