As with all complimentary medicines, there are contra indications with reflexology...it depends on what the traditional medicines are prescribed for....A good reflexologist will always do a free consultation prior to any treatment commencing where medication and conditions will be discussed. So yes, it is safe to use with traditional medicines depending on what they are being used for. Hope this helps

I asked my reflexolgist and my doctor. They both felt that it was safe, PROVIDING that I told each of them about the other. There are some things in reflexology that will make a pharnaceutical drug work differently - sometimes better, sometimes not. And reflexology can release energies that your doct will need to take into account when prescribing. That said, there was never a clash of advice.

Of course it is safe as this is why it comes into the bracket of complimentary health it compliments any of the other types, ie drug therapy from your GP, reflexology is very good at helping ailments that need long term medicine, like asthma, skin problems, athritis etc, I am a qualified reflexologist.

You mean, while talking meds for other things?? Reflexology wouldn't change your medication effect on you. Reflex. is temporary as well. It does have an awesome effect on the body when the trigger points are manipulated the right way. Its harmless and beneficial. Feels good too.

Yes it is, indeed, safe! Just remember that whenever you use alternative therapies/medicines, you must tell the practitioner what traditional medicines you are using. I hate the number of doctors who frown on alternative therapies. Traditional and alternative medicines and therapies can compliment each other beautifully!

Yes it is as long as you tell your reflexologist and doctor about the treatments you're getting. That way everyone is on the same "page".
