If you were just elected President, what would be the first thing you would do to improve America?

Get rid of the political parties.

You have Dems. and Reps. and every single member of each party votes for his/her party's beliefs and not their own.

In a world like this we can't afford to have political parties. It's too restraining on the government and this country is run by the PEOPLE, not 2 heads of political parties. I can take an educated guess that some career politicians never wished they had registered as a specific party and had gone as an independant because of the party's tight control on their votes.

I'm also annoyed by how on votes in the House and Senate it's rare to see anyone vote outside of their party. Say if Dems were voting yes and Reps. were voting no almost every single Dem.'s vote would be yes and almost every single Reps.'s vote would be no. It just sickens me to see no personality and originality in politics since that is truely what this country needs.

Now I know there's a lot of other important things that this country needs but if we got rid of that first that would make room for passed laws about other things on almost all topics and we wouldn't have as many "career politicans" as we have now. It really has to be the first thing this country needs to get done, but the only way that will ever happen is if a 3rd party gets involved and gains lots of places in the government, otherwise it'll probably never happen.
