Choose something you know a lot about and use it as your topic. For example, I remember giving an informative speech on lobster traps, telling how they were constructed, how they were used, and why they were so effective. My classmates were very interested, and I got many compliments. I was sure to use a visual, so I had a diagram of a trap to refer to as I spoke. It was a very large poster, and I was able to speak about each part of the trap.
Good luck.

Choose a topic that interests you and that you know well. If you're into video games, for example, base your speech on how video games are made, the types, the graphics, the audio, etc. If you are intersted in music, base your speech on different types of music, what your favorite is and why, origins of music types, etc. So many topics out there. Always do what interests you!
