Hi. My lifestyle is a choice. Being lesbian simply is a part of who I am. I believe this is the way it is for most lesbians. It's unfortunately that so many people get hung up on sexual orientation instead of just accepting people for themselves in totality. I swear, it's the straight people who immediately think of sex instead of emotional attachment and the rest of intimacy that also is part of romantic love. We are regular people living our lives pretty much like everyone else. So many seem to completely disregard that part of reality. I don't understand why it's such a big issue or why there's this abnormal need to deny us equal rights and privledges.

Hold on now.
Don't tell me you've bought into the "lifestyle" scam?
Honey, being what we were created to be is not a "lifestyle" it's simply who we are.
There's no lesbian lifestyle, no lesbian cars, lesbian clothes, lesbian jobs, lesbian furnature, lesbian kitchenware...etc.
It's not a style of life, it's who we are.
"Lifestyle" assumes some amount of "choice." I certainly did NOT choose to be who I am. I didn't choose to be harassed or hated by ignorant jerks. I didn't choose who I am attracted to. I didn't choose any of this...IT Chose me!
It's the hand I was dealt, the cross I have to bear, the thing that makes me tick in the rhythm I do.
I am a lesbian, there's no choice to that.
I am an HONEST lesbian who lives life as I was meant to live it....without lieing, without pretending to be something I'm not...that's the ONLY choice I have in this.

As a bis-sexual male I wonder the same thing, I think people have a tendency to use themselves as a yardstick for accepatable, if it works for them, straight or gay, then it's fine, if not it's wrong, sick, disgusting, deviant...(pick your epithet of choice). Hence the headset of "No one is born gay, they just choose to do that because they are (pick your insult of choice), or if they're gay it's "No one is bi, they just choose to do that because they're (pick your insult of choice). It continues to amaze me how the same people who have been fighting for decades to get the same rights and recognition as any other human, are the ones most virulant about denying them to people outside their own worldview. As to the why, the Laws of Moses declare male/male sex an abomination with a guaranteed death penalty, Sigmund Freud declared it a mental illness, this means that it's a sin to the religious, and a sickness to the rest. Lesbian sex is not addressed specifically but Paul declared sex wrong for any reason other than reproduction, hence the restrictions on GLBs and the use of birth control. Freud also declared it a sickness for women to have orgasms, the term he coined for women who could enjoy sex was "nymphomaniac", the recommended treatment was genital mutilation. This pretty much took lesbians out the picture. Nowdays it doesn't really matter how the predudices got started, we're stuck with them, all we can do, as individuals, is try not to perpetuate the misconceptions, as Mark Twain once wrote: "It ain't the things nobody knows that cause problems, it's the things everybody knows that ain't so."

The choice of what lifestyle you wish to have is your own and it's the Christian's that have caused the problems with the acceptance of that lifestyle. Gay and lesbian lifestyles were readily accepted in all the pre-christian cultures. You will find that the lifestyle is still accepted in the New Age religions. Which are recreations of the pre-Christian religions.

My opinion on lesbians is that I love them and I don't care or wonder why people can't, don't, or won't except others lifestyles. They are not going to stop living their lives because of it. I know I am not and I am a 36yr. old lesbian. Lovin' every second, minute, hour and day of it.

Homosexuality is fine by me. I am a bisexual man, so I have and idea of what you mean by people not accepting. Some people are just ignorant (the homophobes) and others are just morons that are trying to get attention with a crowd by being homophobic (i know a lot of those people).

No, it's not to late to repent to the person who answered first. I'm not lesbian or gay, but God loves you for who you are. No, I don't think he intended you to take the alternate path, but you did. That's not his first choice, be you still have time to make up for it. Unless you are just too desperate for the same sex, then stay single rather than homosexual.

if u munch carpet.. well ..good for you.. being a guy thats a turn on, personally i think homosexuality is a certain hormone disfunction or something, societies political correctness however doesnt want you to hear that version though, .if u study the natural world it goes against it.. it has no creational purpose and exposes the body to risks.
