44 - you divide the 14 by the 2 and multiple by 22. 2 X 22 = 44 easy. Or have I missed something stupid?

I remember being taught in math that you multiply fractions by making both numbers fractions.

22/7 x 14/1

Then multiply the numerators (top numbers on the fractions).

22 x 14 = 308

Then multiply the denominators (bottom numbers)

7 x 1 = 7

Then you have 308/7.

A fraction is simply a division problem.

308 divided by 7 is 308/7.

308/7 = 44
