you can buy swimming plugs from the chemist which help. But I found my motorbike ear plugs just as good and cheaper too. As for the water in the ear, theres a common condition know as swimming pool ear where the ear gets inflammed from the water. An ear spray either fromt he doctor or chemist will cure the problem in no time.

I have the same problem. When I get out of the shower, I dry my ears with a towel, and then use a cotton ball soaked in rubbing alcohol to wipe my ears inside and out. The alcohol dries out the water. Also, if you have some water trapped in there now, dip a Q-tip in rubbing alcohol and gently, swab your ear canal until you feel it loosen.

There are special water ear plags that you can get that re designed to cover the whole opening of the ear so no water can get in. I use to use them for swimmers ear, and they work really really well!!
